V FESTIVAL 2017 @ HYLANDS PARK (Pink, Jay Z, Jason Derulo, Ellie Goulding...)

     Hi :)

     Aylar öncesinden biletini aldığım festival geldi geçti bile. Büyük bir heyecanla gittim ve bir anında bile pişmanlık duymadım. Şimdi gelelim neler yaşadığıma :)

      The festival for which I bought tickets months ago has already passed. I went there with great excitement and I did not regret even the tiniest moment. Now let's talk about what I went through :)

     Bu festival çadırlı konaklamalı bir festivaldi. İsteğe bağlı olarak günübirlik bilet de alabiliyorsunuz ya da çadırlı gidiyorsunuz. Çadırlı gidenler bir gün önceden gidip yerleşebiliyor. Ortamı da zaten çadır kurmaya çok müsait zira kocaman ormanlık bir alandı.

     You could stay in tents for this festival or if you wish, you could also go there on the concert days. Those holding tickets for camping area can go there a day before the concerts. The atmosphere is quite convenient put up tents since it was a vast green area.

     Festivaldeki tek sıkıntı 6 farklı sahne olması. Aynı anda o 6 sahnede farklı isimler çıkıyor ve dinlemek istediğiniz kişiyi ona göre seçip diğerlerinden fedakarlık etmeniz gerekiyor. Ben Pink'i en önden izlemek istediğim için sabah 8'de erkenden sıraya girip direkt ana sahne olan Supervene Stage'e geçtim. Sahnelerin listesine ve saatlere buradan ulaşabilirsiniz.

     The only distress is that there 6 different stages. Concerts take place at the same time on those stages and you have to choose the person you want to listen to and sacrifice the others. Since I wanted to see Pink really close I got in the queue at 8 am and went to the Supervene Stage which was the main stage. You can see the stages and the schedule here.

     Sahne seyircilere çok yakındı dolayısıyla güzel bir ortamda seyredecek olacağımı bilmek beni mutlu etmişti. Cumartesi günü o sahnede sırasıyla Busted, Ella Eyre, James Arthur, Madness, George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Craig David ve Pink vardı. En çok Pink için heyecanlıydım tabii ki. Küçüklüğümden beri severek dinlediğim birini yakından görecek olmak çok güzel bir heyecandı. Aynı şekilde Craig David için de sabırsızlanıyordum.

     The stage was close to the audience so it made me happy to see that I would see all my favourites in a nice environment. On saturday Busted, Ella Eyre, James Arthur, Madness, George Ezra, Jess Glynne, Craig David and Pink hit the stage respectively. I was mostly excited for Pink of course. It was such big excitement I had for Pink since I have been listening to her for ages. I was quite excited for Craig David as well.

     Saat sabah 8'de sıraya girdim. Çok fazla gelen yoktu. İçeride de sıra sonradan doldu. Busted daha önce dinlemediğim bir gruptu. Orada tanıdım ve sevdim. Ella Eyre ve James Arthur da daha önce dinlediğim sanatçılardı. Madness'i hiç duymamıştım ve enerjilerine bayıldım. George Ezra da çok tatlıydı ama sahneyi pek doldurduğunu söyleyemem. Jess Glynne köpük show yaptı, toplar fırlattı ve dansları harikaydı. Canlı performansını çok başarılı buldum. Craig David de liseden beri dinlediğim bir isim ve sahne performansı gayet güzeldi.

     I got in the queue at 8 am. There were not many people. They came when the doors were open though. I haven't heard of Busted before. I liked them there. I listen to Ella Eyre and James Arthur so I knew them beforehand. I haven't heard of Madness as well and I loved their energy. George Ezra was cute but he failed to use the stage. Jess Glynne put on a bubble show, threw balls and her dancing skills were great. I loved her live performance. I've been listening to Craig David since high school and I loved his performance as well. 

     Sonunda sıra Pink'e geldi ve tabii ki sahneye girişi normal olmadı. Tepeden zincirle indi ve "Get This Party Started" şarkısıyla açılış yaptı. Ardından yanımıza indi, elimizi tuttu ve çanta hediye eden arkadaşıma sarıldı. Gerçekten çok samimi bir şarkıcıymış onu görmüş oldum. Sahnede yaptıklarına ise zaten sözüm yok. Dansları ve sahne kurulumu çok iyiydi. Sonrasında üstümüzde zorbing yaptı, iple üstümüzden geçti ve bunları yaparken de şarkı söyledi. Gerçekten inanılmaz bir kadın. Bir kere daha aşık etti beni.

     Then it was Pink's turn and of course she did not come to stage in a normal way. She landed on the stage with chains from up above and began her performance with "Get This Party Started". Then she came down, held our hands and hugged my friend who gave a backpack as a gift. She is so down to earth. Her dance shows and use of stage props were beyond great. Then she did zorbing, used ropes to fly and sang all through. She is incredible. I fell in love with her once again.

     Ertesi gün de yine Supervene Stage'de yani ana sahnede olacaktım. Jay Z için yine erkenden sıraya girdim. Scouting for Girls grubuyla başladı gün. Yine ilk defa dinlediğim ve sevdiğim bir grup oldular. Sonra Jack Savoretti isimli yakışıklı ve sesi de bir o kadar güzel bir sanatçı sahne alıverdi :) Artık onun fanı olduğumu rahatlıkla söyleyebilirim. Sonrasında Clean Bandit sahne aldı. Enerjilerini çok sevdim ve kesinlikle çok başarılılar. Daha sonra Jason Derulo çıktı ve rüzgar gibi geçti diyebilirim. Koreografisi, dansçıları ve performansı çok iyiydi. Sonraki sanatçı Emeli Sande'ydi ve ben iki yıldır onun konserine gitmek için bilet peşinde koşuyordum, bir türlü şans yüzüme gülmüyordu. Bu festivalde denk gelmek harika bir deneyim oldu benim için. Sesi inanılmaz gerçekten. Sonrasında Stormzy sahneye çıktı ve adı gibi fırtına estirdi diyebilirim zira izdihamda öleceğimizi bile düşündük. Hava maalesef bozmaya başladı ve Ellie Goulding'i yağmur altında izlemek zorunda kaldık. Hava onun da enerjisini düşürmüş olacak ki pek mutlu görünmüyordu sahnede.

     The next day I would go to the Supervene Stage again. I got in the queue early for Jay Z. The day began with Scouting for Girls. I haven't heard of them before but again I liked them there. Then a cutie pie called Jack Savoretti who happens to be crazy handsome got on the stage :) He had an amazing voice. I can say that I'm his fan from now on. Then Clean Bandit came forward. I liked their energy and they are quite well. Later it was Jason Derulo's turn and he literally was gone like the wind :) His choreography, dancers and performance were outstanding. Then Emeli Sande came and I was quite hyped since I was trying really hard to see her live on the stage for almost two years. Her voice is incredible. Later on Stormzy came and he stormed on the stage as his name suggests. We even thought we would die due to the crowd. Afterwards the weather let us down and we had to listen to Ellie Goulding under the rain. The weather must have let her down as well because she did not seem much happy.

     Derken sıra Jay Z'ye geldi. Bir söylentiye göre Rihanna da sahne alacaktı konuk sanatçı olarak ve bu gerçekten beni heyecanlandırmıştı. Jay Z sahneye çıkınca önce inanmam biraz zaman aldı çünkü onu sahnede bu kadar yakın görebilecek olmak hiçbir zaman aklımdan geçmemişti. Sevdiğim bütün şarkılarını söyledi ve yağmura rağmen aşırı eğlendik. Yine izdiham vardı ancak artık alışmıştı bünyem :) Maalesef Rihanna yağmurdan dolayı olsa gerek sahneye çıkmadı. Arkadan bizi instastory'e çekip gitmeyi uygun görmüş. Bir iki şarkı söyleyip gidebilirdi oysa :(

     Then it was Jay Z's turn. According to a rumour, Rihanna was supposed to hit the stage as a special guest and this made me really excited. It took awhile for me to believe in the fact that Jay Z was right in front of me because I did not think I would ever be that close. He sang all the songs I love and we had so much fun despite the rain. It was quite packed again but we got used to it :) Unfortunately, possibly due to the rain, Rihanna did not come to the stage. She thought it would be more convenient to put our video on her instastory and she could have sung a couple of songs there :(
   

     Konserlerdeki izdihamlara, hava şartlarına ve diğer olumsuzluklara rağmen hiçbir şekilde kötü hatırlamayacağım bir festival yaşadım. Müziğe gerçekten aşığım ve konserlerde kendimi buluyorum sanırım :) Hepinizin böyle güzel bir atmosferde bulunması dileğiyle.

     It was such a great festival that I will always cherish the memories despite the crowd, the weather and the other mishaps. I do love music and I find myself at the concerts :) I hope you all enjoy such an atmsosphere at some point in your lives.

Amsterdam Seyahati (Amsterdam Vacation)

     Hi!

     4 gün 3 gece şeklinde gittiğim Amsterdam sevdiğim bir yer oldu ama herkesin bayıla bayıla anlattığı kadar etkilenmedim açıkçası. Tekrar Avrupa seyahatine çıksam tercih edeceğim bir yer değil ama hiç gitmem de diyemiyorum. Garip bir etkileşimim oldu sizin anlayacağınız :)

     I liked Amsterdam and I stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights but I wasn't as impressed as everyone else talked about. If I traveled in Europe again, I wouldn't choose to go there but I can't say that I'll never come round. We had a strange interaction as you see :)

     Amsterdam Scihphol Havalimanı'na iniş yaptık arkadaşım Duru ile. Ben İstanbul'dan geldim o da Roma'dan geldi. Havalimanında bilet makinelerinden merkeze giden trene bilet alabiliyorsunuz 5 küsür euro'ya ve yarım saat içinde merkezde oluyorsunuz. Aivengo Hostel'de kaldık ve orası oldukça merkezi. Ana tren istasyonuna yakın. Fakat günler öncesinden bakmamıza rağmen yine de pahalıydı orada konaklamak. Size tavsiyem merkezden biraz uzak yerlere bakın ya da aylar öncesinden konaklamayı halledin çünkü Amsterdam konaklamak için çok pahalı bir yer.

     We landed on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol with my friend Duru. She came from Rome and I came from Istanbul. You can get tickets for the trains that go to the city centre for just about 5 euros and you arrive to the centre in half an hour. We stayed at Aivengo Hostel and it is quite central. It is close to the main train station. However, even though we booked days before, it was expensive to find a place to stay. I would recommend that you book somewhere a bit far from the centre or deal with it months before because Amsterdam is a pricey city to accommodate.

     İlk gün kanallardan geçerken olabildiğince fotoğraf çekildik çünkü her yer kanal ve çok güzel bir görüntü sağlıyorlar. Sonra biraz piknik alışverişi yapıp Vondelpark'a gittik. Şansımıza hava da çok güzeldi. Vondelpark'ı aşırı sevdim. Hem çok büyük bir park hem de içinde küçük gölleri olan parkları çok seviyorum.

     On the first day, we took as many photos as we could because the city consists of many canals and they create a great scenery. Then we went for shopping to get ourselves food for the picnic and went to the Vondelpark. The weather was very nice fortunately. I loved it there. It is quite big and I like the parks with small lakes.

     İkinci gün müzelere gidelim dedik. İlk gün de uğramıştık ancak ikinci gün de "I Amsterdam" yazısının olduğu yere gittik. Bir sürü fotoğraflar çekilip müzelere geçtik. Van Gogh müzesi ile başlamak istiyorduk ancak yanlışlıkla Stedelijk müzesine girdik :) Girmişken orayı da gezdik. Sonrasında Van Gogh'a girdik. Hem başka yerden getirilen üç katlı bir sergiyi gezdik hem de Van Gogh'un kendi eserlerini gördük. Hepsi çok etkileyiciydi. Heineken Experience'a da girdik ve gerçekten harika bir deneyim yaşattılar. 18 euro gibi bir ücret ödüyorsunuz ama paranızın karşılığını kat kat aldığınız bir gerçek. Sonrasında Madame Tussauds'ya girdik. Akşama doğru girdiğimiz için oldukça boştu. Daha da eğlenceli geçti. Anne Frank müzesine de girmek istiyorduk ancak biraz uzak kaldığı için ertesi güne erteledik. Akşam yemeğimizi Toro Dorado diye bir yerde yedik ve günü noktaladık.

     On the second day we wanted to visit museums. We went by on the first day as well but we went to the "I Amsterdam" sign for the second time anyway. We took many photos and hit the road for the museums. We wanted to begin with the Van Gogh museum but by mistake we found ourselves at the Stedelijk museum :) Then we went to the Van Gogh museum where we had the chance to see a three storey exhibition and saw the original pieces by Van Gogh. They were all amazing. Later we went to the Heineken Experience and it was quite a good experience. You pay 18 euros but it is really worth it. Then we went to the Madame Tussauds wax museum and it was empty since we went there in the evening. We wanted to visit the Anne Frank museum as well but it was far so we left it for the next day. We had our dinner at Toro Dorado and called it a day.

     Üçüncü gün Anne Frank müzesine gittiğimizde gördük ki yürümesi bir buçuk dakika alan uzun bir kuyruk vardı. İnternetten bilet almak daha mantıklı bir çözüm olacağı için bir sonraki gidişimizde internetten bilet alıp öyle gitmeye karar verdik. Zaanse Schans isimli yel değirmenlerinin olduğu ve peynirlerinin meşhur olduğu bir kasabaya geçtik. Trenle yaklaşık 7 euro tutan bu yere 55 euroya turlar düzenleniyor. Onlara dahil olmadan kendiniz de bilet alıp rahatlıkla gidebilirsiniz. Orada Julianaburg adını verdikleri açılıp kapanan köprülerini de gördük. Tower Bridge'ten sonra böyle gördüğüm ikinci köprü :) Sonra Catharina Hoeve isimli peynir fabrikasına gidip yaklaşık bir kilo peynir aldık çünkü muhteşemlerdi. Biz avokado yemeyi de çok sevdiğimiz için Amsterdam'a dönünce The Avocado Show isimli restorana gitmeye karar verdik. Bu arada hem bu restoranda hem de bazı yerlerde gördük ki nakit kabul etmiyorlar. "Nakit yok hırsızlık yok" sloganlarıyla ilgimizi çektiler doğrusu. Sonrasında da alışveriş yerlerinin olduğu bir sokağı keşfettik. Primark, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, River Island gibi sevdiğimiz bir sürü marka mevcuttu. Ancak aklınızda bulunsun çoğu yer 18:00 gibi kapanıyor. Alışveriş için bir gün ayırıp erken gitmekte fayda var.

     On the third day when we went to the Anne Frank museum, we saw that to get to the end of the queue you had to walk for one and a half minutes. It made more sense to buy tickets online, so we will visit it the next time we come. We went to a small village called Zaanse Schans which is full of windmills and famous for its various types of cheese. There are tours costing around 55 euros but we had our return tickets for only 7 euros, so you can go there on your own too. There we saw a bridge called Julianaburg which is like Tower Bridge since it opens and closes for cruise.  Then we went to the Catharina Hoeve cheese factory and bought cheese weighing 1 kg because they were delicious. We also love avocados and decided to have lunch at The Avocado Show. By the way, we saw both at this place and some others that they do not accept cash. "No cash no burglars" policy seems quite famous. We then discovered a street full of places to shop such as Primark, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, River Island. Keep this in mind, many places close at about 6 pm. It would be wiser to spare a whole day for shopping and go there early.

     Ve dördüncü gün yani son gün geldiğinde içimizde ufak bir hüzünle havalimanına gittik. İkimizin de hisleri aşağı yukarı aynı oldu. Evet sevdik ancak tekrar gelmek için de gün sayacağımız bir yer olmadı. Umarız siz seversiniz :)

     And on the fourth day, we went to the airport with a little bit of sadness. We liked it there but we do not think we would choose to go there when we had the chance to travel in Europe. Hope you like it :)

     NOTLAR / NOTES

•  Her yerde bisiklet var. Arabadan çok bisiklet mevcut. Bisiklet zili duymaktan gına geldi. Araba kornasını özler olduk.
• There are bikes everywhere and they are more than cars. We had enough of hearing bike horns and we missed the car horns.
  
• Yemekler de pahalı geldi bize sadece konaklama değil. Giderken az parayla gitmeyin bence.
• Not only the accomodation but also the food is quite expensive. Make sure that you travel with enough cash.
  
• Peynir mutlaka yemelisiniz. Bir sürü peynir çeşidi var.
• You should definitely eat cheese. There are many types of them.
  
• Biz hiç toplu taşıma kullanmadan her yere yürüdük ama tramvay, metro ve otobüs kullanabilirsiniz. Bisiklet de kiralayabilirsiniz.
• We walked everyhwere on foot without using public transportation but you can use the tram, subway and the buses. You can also hire bikes.

İspanya - Portekiz - İtalya Seyahati Part 3 (Spain - Portugal - Italy Travel Diaries Part 3)

     Seyahat anılarımı anlattığım yazının üçüncü ve son kısmına geldik. Bu yazı İtalya ile ilgili olacak. İlk yazımı buraya tıklayarak okuyabilirsiniz. İkinci yazım için de buraya tıklayabilirsiniz.

     This is the third and the last part of my travel diaries. This post will be about Italy. You can read my first post by clicking here. To read the second part you can click here.

     Roma'ya daha önce gitmiştim ve çok sevmiştim. Gerçekten sanat dolu olan bir şehir. Roma'ya dair en sevdiğim özelliklerden biri ise yürüyerek her yere gidebilmeniz. Fakat ilk Roma'ya gittiğim zaman çok uzun kalmamıştım, o yüzden kısıtlı gezebilmiştim. Bu sefer dolu dolu gezdim. Beni en çok mutlu eden şey ise Roma'ya gitmeyi defalarca deneyen ama gidemeyen Semih'i doğum gününde oraya götürebilmiş olmam :) Eminim ki bundan sonra asla 2 Şubat 2017'yi unutmayacaktır.

     I've been to Rome before and I like it. It is full of art. One of the best things about Rome is that you can practically walk to anywhere you like. However, when I first went there, I didn't stay for long, so I didn't wander around much. This time I did it. The thing that made me the happiest person was that I managed to take Semih with me to Rome who tried and failed to do so many times :) I'm sure that he'll never forget 2nd of February, 2017.

     Lizbon'dan Ryan Air ile Roma'ya geçtik ve Ciampiano havaalanına indik saat 23:40 civarı. Ancak gidince bir sürprizle karşılaştık çünkü havaalanı saat 00:00'da kapanıp 04:00'da açılıyormuş. Havaalanında sabahlamayı düşünen olursa bunu unutmasın, yanında uyku tulumu vs. getirip dışarıda beklemesi gerekecek çünkü. Biz de ne yapalım diye düşündük ve şehir merkezinde 24 saat açık olan bir yer bulduk. "Pizza & Mortadella" isimli yerde önce bir dilim pizza yedik sonra çikolatalı tart denedik. Kahvesiz olmaz diyerek "Caffé Trombetta Buvette"e gidip cappucino aldık. İnanın ne kadar lezzetli olduğunu anlatmam imkansız.

     We went to Rome by Ryan Air and landed on Ciampiano at about 23:40. However, it was surprising because the airport is closed at 00:00 and opens at 04:00. If there are some of you thinking of staying there, be sure o bring sleeping bag etc. because you'll have to wait outside. We thought of what to do and then found a place which was open 24 hours a day. We had a slice of pizza and then a chocolate pie at "Pizza & Mortadella". Founding it impossible to not having a coffee, we went to "Caffé Trombetta Buvette" and had a cup of cappucino. Believe me it is not possible for me to tell you how tasty that was.

     Ertesi günün akşamı "Ristorante Pizzeria Sugo" isimli çok güzel bir restorana girdik Duru, ev arkadaşı ve Semih ile beraber. Duru'yla biz lazanya aldık, ev arkadaşı Simge makarna aldı, Semih ise ilk İtalyan pizzasını yedi. O gün 2 şubat ayrıca Semih'in doğum günüydü ve ben ona sürpriz yapmayı düşünürken restoran erken davranıp tiramisu ikramında bulundu. Unutulmaz bir gündü :)

     Next day in the evening Duru, her roommate, Semih and I went to a beautiful restaurant called "Ristorante Pizzeria Sugo". Duru and I ordered lasagna, her roommate Simge ordered pasta and Semih tried out his first Italian pizza. That day, 2nd of February, was also Semih's birthday and while I was thinking of making him a surprise, the restaurant was a step ahead of me because they brought tiramisu. It was an unforgettable day :)

     3 Şubat'ta "Fontana di Trevi" yani "Aşk Çeşmesi"ne gittik. Hava inanılmaz güzeldi ve çok kalabalıktı etraf. Sonra etraftaki dondurmacılardan birine girip dondurma aldık. Bir sürü dondurma çeşidi var Roma'da ve ne kadar dondurmacı varsa hepsine gitmenizi tavsiye edebilirim :) Sonra "İspanyol Merdivenleri"ne gittik. Ben Roma'ya ilk gittiğimde restrorasyon sebebiyle kapalıydı o yüzden bu sefer orayı açık görebilmek beni mutlu etti. Akşam da "Kaos" diye bir yere girdik. İçeride sadece iki tane çalışan vardı ve çok tatlı insanlardı. Bize İtalyanca öğretmelerini rica ettik sonra çok eğlenceli bir şekilde muhabbet ettik.

     On the 3rd of February, we went to "Fontana di Trevi". The weather was extremely nice and it was quite crowded. Then we bought an ice-cream there. There are lots of flavours in Rome and I can recommend you to try out each and every one of the ice-cream shops there :) Then we went to "Spanish Steps". The first time I was there it was closed down due to the restoration so I was happy to see it open this time. Later in the evening we went to "Chaos" and there were only two people working there. We asked them to teach us Italian and then had a fun conversation.

     Sonraki gün "Empire Pizza"da dilim pizza denedik ve çok sevmedik çünkü yağlı geldi. Sonra Vatikan'a gittik, bol bol yürüdük, "Pompi"de muhteşem bir tiramisu yedik, Sonra hep merak ettiğim sinema stüdyosu "Cinecittà"ya uğradık. Akşam ise "Fiume Tevere" yakınlarında "Dar Poeta" isimli bir yere girdik ve inanılmaz güzel pizzaları vardı. Giderseniz mutlaka uğramalısınız.

     The next day we tried a slice of pizza at "Empire Pizza" but we didn't like it much because it had too much oil on it. Then we went to Vatican, walked a lot. We had an amazing tiramisu at "Pompi". Then we went to the cinema theatre "Cinecittà". In the evening we went to "Dar Poeta" where we had great pizzas and it was near "Fiume Tevere". You should definitely go there if you happen to be in Rome.

     Pisa'ya gitmek istedik. Sabah treni çok ucuzdu o yüzden 06:12 trenini seçmiştik. Termini'den kalkacak olan bu trene 06:11'de binebildik çünkü trenlerin kalktıkları peronlar 26 taneymiş ve biz ona yakınız sanarken 14'üncü perona yakın olduğumuzu fark ettik. Sabah ufak bir macera yaşadık anlayacağınız :) Pisa küçük bir yerdi. Nehrini sevdik. O yoldan dümdüz devam edince zaten Pisa kulesine ulaşıyorsunuz. Fotoğraf çektirirken şekilden şekle giren insanları görmek eğlenceli oluyor :) Tren biletini gidiş geliş 40 küsür euro gibi bir fiyata aldık. Akşamüstü de Roma'ya geri döndük. Ertesi sabah Semih'in uçağı çok erken olduğu için hemen eve gelip uyuduk :)

     Before turning back, we wanted to visit Pisa. The train in the early morning was very cheap so we chose 06:12 train. We got on the train which was to leave from Termini at 06:11 because there were 26 platforms and we thought we were close but the platform we were closed to was number 14. We lived through a small adventure :) We bought the return tickets for about 40 euros. We went back to Rome in the evening. Since Semih had an early flight the next day, we slept straightaway :)

     Roma'yı gerçekten çok seviyorum ve hafta sonu bile fırsat bulunca gidip dönülebilecek kadar eğlenceli bir yer eğer yemek yemeyi ve tarih barındıran şehirleri seviyorsanız :) Normalde haftaya Amsterdam - Brüksel - Paris seyahatim vardı ancak ufak bir sakatlık atlattığım için iptal etmek zorunda kaldım. Umarım bir sonraki seyahatimde bu gerçekleşir ve sizlere yazı yazarım :)

     I really love Rome and it's such a fun city if you like eating and places that reflect history :) Actually I was supposed to travel to Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris next week but due to a small injury I had to cancel it. I hope it will come true soon and I will write a post about it :)

İspanya - Portekiz - İtalya Seyahati Part 2 (Spain - Portugal - Italy Travel Diaries Part 2)

     Hello everyone!

     This is the second part of my travel diary and it will be about Portugal. If you want to read the first part, you can click here. 

     Lizbon'da hava çok güzel ve ocak ayı olmasına rağmen gezerken montumun fermuarını kapatmadım bile. İlk gün Marquês de Pombal, Praca do Rossio, Praça do Comércio, Santa Maria de Belém,Torre de Belém, Pastéis de Belém ve Cais do Sodré gezdik. Belém'i çok sevdim çünkü aynı isimli meşhur bir tatlıları var ve sütlaçın milföy hamuruyla sunulmuş hali gibi. Sadece 1 euro'ydu. Torre de Belém'i de çok sevdim ve orada saatler harcadım.

     The weather in Lisbon is amazing and I didn't even zip up my coat while wandering around although it was January. On the first day we went to Marquês de Pombal, Praca do Rossio, Praça do Comércio, Santa Maria de Belém,Torre de Belém, Pastéis de Belém and Cais do Sodré, I loved Belém because they have a famous desert which is like rice pudding in puff pastry dough. It costs 1 euro only. Torre de Belém was also nice and I spent there lots of time.

     Lizbon'da tek kullanımlık metro bileti 1.45 euro ancak ben sınırsız tek günlük kullanım aldım 6.15 euro'ya ve defalarca kullandım. Ulaşımın İstanbul'a oranla daha uygun fiyatlı olduğu bir gerçek.

     In Lisbon, single use metro tickets cost 1.45 euro but I bought an unlimited use for 24 hours ticket for 6.15 euro and I used it many times. It's true that transportation is cheaper compared to Istanbul.

     İkinci gün alışveriş yapmak için Colombo'ya gittik. Orada Disney Store'da vardı ve beni tanıyanlar Disney aşığı olduğumu bilecektir. O gün çok yorulduğumuz ve ertesi sabah erken kalkacağımız için Semih'le yemek sonrası odamızda kalmaya karar verdik ve günü noktaladık.

     On the secondy day we went to Colombo for shopping. There is a Disney Store in Colombo and anyone who is acquainted with me knows that I'm a Disney lover. Since we were so tired and we were also supposed to wake up early tomorrow morning, we decided to stay in after the dinner and called it a day.

     Üçüncü gün Semih'in vize işlemleri için Setúbal diye bir yere gittik ve çok sevdim. Küçük bir kasaba gibiydi. Akşam da liseden arkadaşımla karşılaştım ve bir Meksika restoranına gittik Las Ficheras isimli. En çok yemek yediğim gün bu olabilir.

     On the third day we went to Setúbal for Semih's visa process and I liked it. It was like a small village. Then I met a friend of mine from high school and we went to a Mexica restaurant called Las Ficheras. That was probably the day I had eaten the most.

     Dördüncü günümüzde lise arkadaşımla gezip akşam Semih'le buluştuk çünkü Semih'in o gün sınavı vardı. Grilled & Company isimli yerde akşam pizza yedik ve eve döndük çünkü sabah erkenden kalkıp hem Semih'in odasını taşıyacaktık hem de arkadaşı Theresa ile kahvaltı edecektik.

     On our fourth day I wandered around with my high school friend and then met Semih in the evening because he had an exam. We ate pizza at a place called Grilled & Company and went back home because we were supposed to wake up early tomorrow morning to help Semih move out to another room and meet his friend Theresa for breakfast.

     Son günümüzde Choupana Caffe'ye gidip kahvaltımızı ettik. Sonra en yakın McDonald's şubesine girip bir şeyler atıştırdık çünkü vaktimiz yoktu. Ardından havaalanına gittik ve Roma uçağımız için beklemeye başladık. Roma başlı başına bir macera konusu ve haftaya gelecek olan yazım onunla ilgili olacak. Takipte kalın :)

     On our last day we went to Choupana Caffe for breakfast. Then we went to the nearest McDonald's because we didn't have time to find a place to eat. Later we went to the airport and began to wait for our flight. Rome is the city where we went through many adventures and it will be the subject of my upcoming post. Stay tuned :)

Bazı anılar / Some moments

- Semih Portekizce bilmediğini ve zorlandığını ısrar etse de inanın bana şakır şakır konuşarak bütün problemlerimizi çözdü. (Even though Semih insisted that he didn't know Portuguese and that he had a hard time with it, believe me he worked out all of our problems by speaking fluently in Portuguese.)

- Semih'in taşınması gerekiyordu ancak taşınacağı dairenin boşalması için bir gün beklemesi gerekiyordu. O ara gün için bütün misafirperverliği ile yardıma koşan Halim'e teşekkür etmeliyiz bence :) Ayrıca Herkül misali bavullarımızı omzuna alıp merdivenlerde taşımasını da hala unutmuş değilim! (Semih had to move out but the apartment he was supposed to move in was already occupied so he had to wait. Halim came to help with all his hospitality and we should thank him :) I still haven't forgotten how he managed to carry our luggages on his shoulders at the steps like Hercules!)

- Semih'le vakit geçirince Erasmus anılarım canlandı bu tatilde. Erasmus yapabileceğiniz en güzel olay ve herkesin hayatında bir kez yaşaması gerekiyor bence. Zorlukları olsa da bitince o zor anları bile özlüyorsunuz. (While spending time with Semih I remembered my Erasmus times. Erasmus is the most beautiful experience you can ever have and I believe everyone should try it once. Although there are difficulties, you even miss those when you come back.)

- Pink Street'te kalabalık içinden sıyrılıp manzara izlediğimiz o güzel gün için de Mümin Can'a ve Viktor'a selam olsun :) (Saying hi to Mümin Can and Viktor for the night we spent in Pink Street and then went up to watch the view)

- Her seyahat sonunda fark ediyorum ki çok küçüğüz ve keşfedecek çok yer var. (At the end of each travel I realise that we are small and there are lots of places to discover.)
