Bir süredir buralarda olamadım yoğunluktan, değişen iş tempomdan ve kendime ayırdığım ekstra zamandan :) Ama dün gece katıldığım konser kesinlikle burada bir blog yazısı olmayı hak ediyor, o yüzden tekrardan merhaba blog dünyası!

I haven't been around for a while due to my busy schedule, work pace and the extra time I have spared for myself :) But the concert I attended last night definitely deserves to be posted on the blog, so hello again blog world!

Join & Blend'in davetiyle Epifoni Events tarafından düzenlenen Küçükçiftlik Park'taki Kaleo konserine katıldım. Kesinlikle unutamayacağım konser deneyimlerine birini daha eklediğimi söyleyebilirim. 

I attended the Kaleo concert in Küçükçiftlik Park organised by Epifoni Events with the invitation of Join & Blend. I can say that I added one more impressive concert experience to my life that I will definitely not forget.

Kaleo'yu hepimiz "Way Down We Go" şarkısıyla tanıyoruz. Onu da bilmeyenler olursa diye link bırakıyorum buraya. Yalan yok, benim de grubu ilk tanıma şeklim bu şekilde oldu. Fakat bu iki albüme özellikle bayılıyorum: A/B ve Surface Sounds. Baştan sona dinlemenizi tavsiye ederim. Broken Bones, Save Yourself, I Can't Go on Without You, Hey Gringo ve Skinny parçaları da diğer favorilerimden.

We all know Kaleo with the song "Way Down We Go". I'm leaving a link here in case there are still people who are unaware. Not going to lie, that's also how I got to know the band for the first time. But I especially love these two albums: A/B and Surface Sounds. I recommend listening to it from the start to the finish. Broken Bones, Save Yourself, I Can't Go on Without You, Hey Gringo and Skinny are my other favourites.

Kaleo kim derseniz 2012 yılında kurulmuş bir İzlanda rock grubu. Kısaca JJ denen, gerçek adı Jökull Júlíusson olan vokalimiz aynı zamanda gitar da çalıyor ve grup daha çok JJ ile tanınıyor. JJ hakkında biraz daha detay paylaşmak isterim zira kendisi kalbimi çaldı. 1992 doğumlu bu beyefendinin karizması İ NA NIL MAZ. Sesi, duruşu ve tarzı gerçekten çok etkileyici. Tanışma fırsatım olduğu için de ayrıca şanslı hissediyorum. Fotoğraflar ve videolar için IG profilime bekleniyorsunuz. O kadar değişik bir aurası var ki, asla yaşının insanı değil sanki. Ağırbaşlı biri olduğu için asla 1992 doğumlu diyemiyorsunuz ve inanılmaz hikayeler barındıran bir yaşam öyküsü var gibi. Kısacası ben galiba çok hoşlandım :)

Kaleo is an Icelandic rock band formed in 2012. The vocalist, who is called JJ for short, whose real name is Jökull Júlíusson, also plays the guitar and the group is mostly known for JJ. I would like to share some more details about JJ because he stole my heart. The charisma of this gentleman born in 1992 is UNBELIEVABLE. His voice, posture and style are really impressive. I also feel lucky to have had the opportunity to meet in person. You are welcome to my IG profile for photos and videos from that night. He has such a different aura that it is as if he is not a person of his age at all. You can never say he was born in 1992 because he seems as a solemn man and he seems to have a life story that contains incredible stories. In brief, I think I really liked him :)

Alana geri döndüğümde heyecanla beklemeye devam ettim ve 22:30'da Kaleo sahnedeki yerini aldı. Break My Baby şarkısıyla açılışı yaptı ve inanın sahnede JJ'in nasıl devleştiğini izledim. Ses skalası inanılmaz ve canlı dinlemesi çok keyifliydi. Özellikle akustik versiyon şarkı söylediği anlarda berrak sesi hepimizi aldı götürdü diyebilirim. Gelen kitle asla rahatsız edici değildi (bazı konserlerde yaş ortalaması ya da turistlerin bolluğu konser deneyimini kötüleştirebiliyor) ve herkes uyumluydu. Aynı anda eşlik ettik, aynı anda zıpladık, aynı anda uzaklara daldık hepimiz. Arka vokaldeki iki kadın inanılmaz bir performans gösterdi bu arada, sahnede öne çıktıkları zaman ağzım açık izledim. Grubu oluşturan her bir birey çok yetenekliydi ve gerçekten hem müziğe hem de kaliteli konser ortamına doyduğum bir pazar günü geçirmiş oldum.

When I returned to the front row, I continued to wait with excitement and at 22:30 Kaleo took their place on the stage. They opened with the song "Break My Baby" and believe me, I literally watched how JJ became a rock star on stage. His sound pitch is incredible and it was very enjoyable to listen to him live. I can say that his crystal voice took us all away, especially when he played some acoustic versions. The audience was never intrusive (at some concerts the age of the people attend or the abundance of tourists can worsen the concert experience) and everyone was in sync. We sang the songs at the same time, jumped at the same time, daydreamed at the same time. The two women, who were the back vocals, gave an amazing performance by the way, I watched with my mouth open when they came forward on stage. Each individual who are in the group is very talented and I really had a marvellous Sunday full of music in a concert environment of good quality.

Aşırı özlediğim bu festivaller ve konserler kulaklarımızın pasını silmeye, renkli kişiliğimizi daha da renklendirmeye devam etsin lütfen. Müzik ruhun gerçekten gıdası.

May these festivals and concerts, which I miss so much, continue to erase the rust from our ears and colour our colourful personality even more, please. Music is truly food for the soul.

J Balvin Konseri (26.07.2019 @ Küçükçiftlik Park)

Bir konserden daha merhabalar! Ne güzel bir yaz oldu bu öyle :)

Hello from another concert! It's been such a nice summer :)

Latin dünyasının yıldızlarından biri J Balvin bu yaz ülkemize de uğradı. Gelmeden önce sahne gösterilerini izlediğim için oldukça heyecanlıydım. Zaten şarkıları oldukça popüler, tüm ülkeye İspanyolca öğretti diyebilirim :) Ben zaten ikinci yabancı dilim İspanyolca olduğu için dinlemekten büyük keyif alıyorum. Dans etmeyi de seviyorum. Kısacası J Balvin konserinde eğlenmeme gibi bir ihtimalim söz konusu bile değildi :)

One of the stars of the Latin world, J Balvin, came to our country this summer. I was quite excited to see him because I watched his concert shows online before. The songs are quite popular already, I can say that he  has taught whole country Spanish :) I enjoy listening to him since my second language is Spanish. I also like to dance. In short, there was no possibility of not having fun at the J Balvin concert :)

Konserin ana sponsorlarından birisi GUESS'ti. O güne özel pop up store açmıştı. J Balvin ile ortak koleksiyonları vardı. Sadece yurt dışında satılıyordu. Yine konsere özel ürünleri de getirmişlerdi. O standa da uğramadan edemedim tabii :) Çok güzel ürünler vardı. Bir crop top beğenip aldım. Buradan bakabilirsiniz. Şu an GUESS'in kendi sitesinde satışı görünmüyor ancak arama motoruna yazınca çıkabilir. Almayı düşünüyorsanız bakabilirsiniz.

One of the main sponsors of the concert was GUESS. They opened a special pop up store for the day. They had collections made by J Balvin. This was only sold abroad. They also brought special products to the concert. Of course I could not help but stop at that stand :) There were very nice items. I liked and bought a crop top. You can check it out here. GUESS doesn't show these products for sale on its website right now, but you can see them when you type in the search engine. Have a look there if you intend to buy.

İşten çıkar çıkmaz konsere koştum. Dolayısıyla önce çıkanları biraz kaçırdım ama Abdullah İnal'a yetiştim. Onun sahnesini çok seviyorum çünkü playlist'i tam benlik! Doğum günümde çaldığım her şarkıyı da o da çalıyor. Her seferinde çok eğlendiriyor. Sonrasında Edis çıktı. Onun da İngilizce ve Türkçe karışık şarkılar söylemesi ilginçti. Derken J Balvin'in sırası geldi. Devasa ekranları kullanmaya başladılar ancak videolarda gördüğüm şeyleri getirmemişti. Belki de lojistik sebeplerle getirememişti, bilemiyorum. Yine de isterdim. Sahneye koşarak çıktı ve hepimizi anında coşturmaya başladı!

As soon as I left work, I ran to the concert. So I missed shows a bit, but I managed to catch Abdullah Inal. I love his stage because the playlist is almost made for me! He plays every song I play on my birthday. It's always fun. Then Edis came out. It was interesting for me to see that he sang songs in English and Turkish. Then it was J Balvin's turn. They started using these huge screens, but they didn't bring the props I saw in the videos. Maybe he couldn't bring them for logistical reasons, I don't know. I still wish they did though. The moment he came out on the stage and he got us all excited at once!

Ben son albümünü çok sevdim. En sevdiğim şarkıları Loco Contigo, Mi Cama, Ginza, Mi Gente. Düetlerden en sevdiğim Say My Name, I Like It ve Downtown.

I loved his latest album. My favorite songs are Loco Contigo, Mi Gama, Ginza, Mi Gente. My favorites of his duets are Say My Name, I Like It and Downtown.

Imagine Dragons Konseri (02.09.2018) @ Küçükçiftlik Park

Hello my dear concert fans!

BKM Online organizasyonu (https://www.bkmonline.net/tr/etkinlikler/imagine-dragons) ve İstanbul Blue Night iş birliği ile Küçükçiftlik Park'ta Imagine Dragons konser verdi geçtiğimiz pazar günü. Az çok bu alanda deneyimli olduğum için gelen kişi sayısının fazla olacağını hesap etmiştim önceden. Dolayısıyla en önde olmak istiyorsam azıcık erken gitmem gerekecekti ve öyle yaptım. Tam 3 saat önceden sıraya girdim. Güneş altında beklemek azıcık yorucu olsa da her şeye gün sonunda değdi.

As part of BKM Online's organization (https://www.bkmonline.net/tr/etkinlikler/imagine-dragons) and collaboration of Istanbul Blue Night, Imagine Dragons was here to throw a concert on previous Sunday. Since I have a little bit of experience in the entertainment industry, I could foresee the amount of people who would come. Therefore, I knew I had to be in the queue early if I wanted to be at the front row and I did. I was in the queue 3 hours before the doors were open.

Ön gruplar çıkmadan önce DJ çıkması gerekiyordu ancak çıkmadı. Bu arada tahminimce kişi sayısından fazlaca bilet satıldı çünkü saniyesinde tıklım tıklım oldu. Sıcakla beraber bu da birleşince dayanması zor bir hal aldı konser. Ne su ihtiyacı için ne de başka şeyler için yerinizden çıkmanız imkansızdı. Bu şekilde beklemek de oldukça yordu tabii. Derken Oceans of Noise sahne aldı. Çoğu insan bu gruptan habersiz ancak solisti Sertab Erener. Değişik bir ekip olmuşlar, şans tanıyın derim. Sonrasında İngiliz grup The Vaccines sahne aldı. Buraya ilk gelişleriydi onların da. Aşırı tatlılardı. Hem tarzları hem de şarkıları eğlendirdi. Bu arada sahne değişimlerinde o kadar beklemedik. Bu da her şeyi biraz daha kolaylaştırdı. Sonrasında evren sesimi duymuş olacak ki ön sıraya su dağıtımı yaptı görevliler. Suyu içtikten sonra kendime gelirim sanıyordum ki sahneye Dan'in yani Imagine Dragons'ın gelmesiyle tekrar kendimden geçtim!

A DJ was supposed to come out but he did not. Besides, I believe more tickets were should than they should have been because as soon as the doors were open, it was jammed with people in seconds. The hot weather was also not helping. It was impossible to leave your place to get a bottle of water or go to the toilets. It was tiring to wait like that. Oceans of Noise was the first band to perform. A lot of people are unaware of them but the lead singer is Sertab Erener. Give them a chance if you haven't listened to them before. Then an English band The Vaccines took their turn. It was their first time here.

Sahneye sadece şort ile çıkan Dan işleri çok zorlaştırmıştı çünkü ona bakmaktan şarkılara odaklanamıyordum hahaha :) Hepimiz için aynı şey geçerliydi. Gerçekten içi de dışı da mükemmel birisiymiş yakından gördük :) Manevi yönü baskın olan bir insan diye tahmin ediyorum çünkü vücut dilini hep o yönde kullandı ve Demons şarkısını söylerken arada kısa bir konuşma yaptı. Günümüzde depresyon, panik atak ve anksiyete gibi özellikle gençleri çok etkileyen bazı sorunların çözülebilir olduğunu, kendisinin de vakti zamanında depresyondan geçtiğini ve klinik destek aldığını, aileden ya da arkadaşlardan birine bile bundan bahsetmenin iyi geleceğini ve en nihayetinde asla intihar edilmemesi gerektiğini anlattı. Sanki bunları anlatırken tekrar tekrar o geçirdiği dönemleri hatırlar gibiydi. Dinlerken çok etkilendim.

Dan came out to the stage with shorts which made it even harder to concentrate hahah :) It was valid for everyone. He was an amazing human being inside and outside. He gave a speech while singing Demons and he talked about depression, panic attack and anxiety. He told us that there is nothing that can't be solved, he himself also went through depression, had a clinical support and it does feel good to tell this to friends. He said that no one should ever commit a suicide. It was as if he was going through what he has already been through again. I was quite affected by what he was talking about.

Seyirciyle teması da fazlaydı Dan'in. Elimizi tutması, defalarca göz kontağı kurması, hem Türk bayrağı hem de LGBTİ+ bayrağı taşıması, ilk defa buraya gelmesine rağmen çok sevdiğini ve hep gelmek isteyeceğini belirtmesi kesinlikle hepimizden artı puan kazandırdı. Sesi ve performansına zaten yorum yapmıyorum, müthişti. Gelmeyenler çok şey kaçırdı diyebilirim. Tüm yorgunluğumu unuttum. Ayrıca normal ayakta kategorisine de yakın olmak için oraya bir platform kurdurmuş ve yaklaşık 3-4 şarkı da o platformda söyledi. Dolayısıyla herkese yakın, herkesle iletişimde olduğu iki saat yaşattı bizlere.

Dan made lots of contacts with the audience. He held hands, looked right in the eyes, carried the Turkish flag and the LGBTI+ flag, he mentioned that the loved being here although it was his first time. I cannot even comment on his voice and performance, he was literally amazing. Those of you who failed to make it, surely missed a lot. I forgot all about my tired feet. They also had a platform next to the standing area where he also managed to be close to that part of the audience as well. He sang 3-4 songs on that platform. Thus, he was in contact with all of us for 2 hours.

Imagine Dragons zaten ekip olarak çok başarılı benim gözümde. Özellikle son şarkıları Natural'ı çok seviyorum. Whatever It Takes, Radioactive, Believer, Shots, Yesterday, I Bet My Life, Thunder, I Don't Know Why en sevdiğim şarkıları. Eğer daha önce dinlemediyseniz bu şarkılara ve özellikle de gruba şans tanıyın.

Imagine Dragons is quite successful. I especially adore their latest song Natural. Whatever It Takes, Radioactive, Believer, Shots, Yesterday, I Bet My Life, Thunder, It's Time, I Don't Know Why are my favourite songs. If you haven't listened to them before, you should definitely give them a shot.

Bu arada The Vaccines canlı olarak konserde dinlediğim 100. grup oldu, Imagine Dragons da 101 :) Konserde canlı dinlediğim sanatçı/grup listemde 100'ü geçmiş bulunduğum için ayrıca gururluyum!

By the way, The Vaccines is the 100th band that I listened to live, and Imagine Dragons is the 101st :) I'm also proud that the list of performances I watched live has more than 100 bands/singers!

Liam Gallagher Konseri (14.08.2018) @ Küçükçiftlik Park

Küçükçiftlik Park yine harika bir geceye ev sahipliği yaptı.

Küçükçiftlik Park again hosted a great concert.

Yılların eskitemediği Oasis grubundan Liam, organizasyonunu BKM'nin yaptığı İstanbul Blue Night kapsamında Küçükçiftlik Park'ta sahne aldı. 2017'de İngiltere'de Liam'ı dinleme şansım olmuştu, o yüzden nasıl bir şey beklemem gerektiğini biliyordum. Beni asıl heyecanlandıran Starsailor'ı dinlemekti çünkü onları çok seviyordum ve hiç dinleme fırsatım olmamıştı.

Liam, from the timeless band Oasis, performed at Küçükçiftlik Park as part of BKM's organisation with İstanbul Blue Night. I had the chance to attend his concert in UK, thus I knew what to expect. What got me hyped was Starsailor because I love them and I'd never listened to them live before.

Starsailor'ın en sevdiğim şarkıları Tell Me It's Not Over, Poor Misguided Fool ve In The Crossfire. Hepsini de söylediler, çok mutlu oldum :) Liam Gallagher da sahneye her zamanki gibi siyah montu ve gözlükleriyle çıktı. 30 derece sıcağa da çıksa, zifiri karanlıkta da olsa bu tarzından asla vazgeçmiyor. Beni rahatsız eden şey sadece seyirciyle çok iletişim kurmuyor oluşu. Belki ben de Oasis grubunun üyesi olsam böyle olurdum, bilemiyorum :)

My favourite songs of Starsailor are Tell Me It's Not Over, Poor Misguided Fool and In The Crossfire. They performed them all, I was beyond happy :) Liam Gallagher was on the stage with his usual style including a black coat and sunglasses. He never compromises his style even if it is 30 ºC hot outside or pitch black. What bothers me is that he does not connect with the audience that much. It's as if he is in his own world. Maybe if I were one of the Oasis members, I'd be like him. I don't know :)

Gelen kitle de genç yetişkin ve orta yaşlı kesimden oluşuyordu. Böyle olunca konserler gerçekten daha sorunsuz geçiyor. Kalabalık olmasına rağmen ne ezilen duydum, ne rahatsız olan, ne itişip kakışan. Böyle rahat konserlerde çok mutlu oluyorum.

The audience was full of young adults and middle aged people. When the audience is like this, the concerts run smoothly. Although it was crowded, I neither heard someone getting squeezed, nor bothered.

The Chainsmokers Konseri (03.08.2018) @ Küçükçiftlik Park

Eğlencenin dibine vurduğumuz bir gün!

The day we had quite the blast!

Elektronik dans müziğinin tanınmış isimlerinden Lost Frequencies ve The Chainsmokers'ın Play Festival kapsamında geldiği gece gerçekten çok eğlendik. Açılışı DJ Funky C ve Mahmut Orhan'ın yaptığı gece Epifoni ve Charm Music iş birliğinin eseri. Küçükçiftlik Park da bu konsepte çok güzel olmuştu.

The night that two of the acknowledged groups in the electronic dance music genre Lost Frequencies and The Chainsmokers came here for Play Festival, we had the utmost fun. DJ Funky C and Mahmut Orhan owned the warm-up and this night happened thanks to the collaboration of Epifoni and Charm Music. Kucukciftlik Park as a venue was also a perfect match.

DJ Funky C'nin bu kadar eğlenceli olduğunu bilmiyordum. Eski - yeni birçok şarkı ile bizi dans ettirdi. Mahmut Orhan'a zaten diyecek sözüm yok. Başarısı ortada bir isim. O da çok eğlendirdi. Lost Frequencies ise çok aşina olduğum bir isim değildi. Etrafta çalan bir iki şarkısı dışında bir şey bilmiyordum. Çok tatlı birisiydi. Fakat hepimizin gün sonunda beklediği tek grup The Chainsmokers'dı.

I didn't predict that DJ Funky C would turn out to be this fun. We danced to many old - new songs. I don't have anything to say about Mahmut Orhan, his success speaks for him. We had so much fun with him as well. I wasn't that acquainted with Lost Frequencies. I only knew a couple of songs that were popular. He was a cute guy by the way. However, the only duo we were waiting for at the end of the day was of course The Chainsmokers.

Sahneye atlaya zıplaya çıktılar. Nasıl enerjik oldukları belliydi. Andrew platformun üstünden defalarca atladı. Ayrıca canlı sesi çok güzelmiş, beklemiyordum. Alex de sürekli dans etti. Tek rahatsız eden nokta tüm şarkılarını elektronik altyapı ile desteklemiş olmalarıydı. Örneğin, "Side Effects" şarkısı daha soft olan bir şarkı ama onu da elektronik yapmışlardı. Biraz kafamı yordu, 25 yaşına geldim kaldıramıyorum hahah :)

They came to the stage jumping up and down. It was quite obvious that they had so much energy. Andrew jumped from the platform many times. He also has a nice voice, I did not expect that he would be singing live. Alex danced the whole time. The only thing that bothered me was they backed up all of their songs with an electronic background. For instance, their song "Side Effects" is a bit softer compared to others but they turned it into an electronic dance music as well. I was unable to take it all in, and felt tired. I'm 25 already, I can't deal with this anymore hahah :)

Bu tarz müziği sevenler için ve kafa dağıtmaya gidenler için harika bir cuma günü oldu. Bir sonraki konserde görüşürüz!

It was a great friday for those of you who listen to this genre and the ones who came just to let it all hang out. See you at the next concert!

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Konseri (10.07.2018) @ Küçükçiftlik Park

İstanbul Caz Festivali'nin 25. yılı sebebiyle Nick Cave ülkemize teşrif etti, hem de 17 yıl sonra yeniden The Bad Seeds grubuyla buluştu. Aylar öncesinde bu konser duyurulduğunda çok heyecanlanmıştım çünkü şaka değil, 45 yıllık müzik geçmişiyle 2001 yılından sonra ikinci kez buraya geliyordu Nick ve ben onu o zaman izleme fırsatı elde edememiştim. Herkesin hayatında bir kere bu adamı dinlemesi gerektiğine inanıyorum. Ben de böylelikle ölmeden önce canlı dinlemem gereken isimler listesinden bir kişiyi daha çıkarmış oldum :)

Due to the 25th anniversary of Istanbul Jazz Festival, Nick Cave came to our country and reunited with his band The Bad Seeds after 17 years. I was extremely excited when this concert was announced because it's not a joke, after 2001, with his 45 years of music background, Nick Cave was coming here for a second time. I missed the chance of seeing him when he first performed but not this time! :) I believe everyone should listen to him live at least once in their lives. That being said, I checked this off my bucket list :)

Ben gerçekten ilk başta böyle bir atmosfer beklemedim. Sahne önünde inanılmaz fanatikler vardı. Gaziantep'ten kalkıp gelenler, İzmir'den günübirlik gelenler, İngiltere'den gelen... Birçok farklı insan profili aynı müzisyenin çatısı altında toplanmıştı ve bu çok güzel bir şey. İzmir'den gelen hanımefendi ile ufak bir muhabbetimiz de oldu. Adını almayı unuttum ancak buradan eğer okursa bilsin ki kendisi ile tanıştığım için çok memnun oldum. Nick Cave'e aşırı hayrandı ve öyle bildiğimiz genç nüfusun pop şarkıcılarına hayran olması gibi değil. Yaşam felsefesi olarak benimsemiş Nick'i ve sanki uzun yıllardır görmediği bir arkadaşını görecekmiş gibi bir heyecan içerisindeydi. O an yine gördüm müziğin iyileştirici ve birleştirici gücünü.

At first, I really did not expect such an atmosphere there. There were incredible fans in the front row. There were people from Gaziantep, İzmir, United Kingdom... A lot of different people were gathered under the same music and that is great. I had a small chat with the woman from İzmir. I forgot to ask her name but if she's reading this somehow, I want her to know that I was quite happy to meet her. She was a crazy fan of Nick's and it wasn't like the pop fandom of young people. She adopted Nick as a some kind of philosophy in her life and she was excited as if she was going to see a friend of hers whom she missed. There again I understood the healing and unifying power of the music.

Nick Cave sahneye çıktığında gerçekten ilahi bir güçle çıktığını falan düşündüm. Seyirciyle etkileşimi de bunu gösteriyordu. Sanki bu dünyadan değil gibiydi. Hani yabancı filmlerde görürüz ya insanların alnına dokunurlar dini törenlerde, insanlar ağlar ve o ruha girer. Aynısını gözlemledim konserde. Gerçekten performansı olağanüstüydü. İyi ki gittim dediğim konserlerden biri oldu, kaçırsam çok üzülürmüşüm.

I really thought Nick Cave came to the stage with some kind of a holy power. His interaction with the audience supported this idea. It was as if he was from a different world. We see these types of scenes in foreign films where the preacher touches the forehead of people and they begin crying due to that spiritual atmosphere. I observed the same thing literally. His performance was extraordinary. I'm so happy that I attended this concert. I'd be sad if I missed it.

Konserlerde en sevdiğim şey sanatçının birebir seyirciyle etkileşime geçmesi. Neticede para veren ve daha da önemlisi saatlerini ayırıp gelen onca insanın tek amacı o sanatçı ile bir bağ kurabilmek. Nick Cave sahneden ziyade hep üstümüzdeydi diyebilirim. Üstümüze atladı, aramıza girdi dolaştı, ellerimizi tuttu, bize şarkı söyletti hatta sahneye bile çıkardı çıkarabildiği kadar kişiyi.

The thing that I like the most about concerts is the moment where the artist interacts with the audience. After all, people pay to attend these concerts and most importantly they spare their time only to make some kind of a connection with the artist. Nick held our hands, made us sing his songs, and took as many people as he could to the stage.

Wiz Khalifa Konseri (04.07.2018) @ Küçükçiftlik Park

Konser delisi olarak yine karşınızdayım!

Here I am, again, as a concert freak!

İki gün önce efsanevi bir konserdeydim. Hip-hop/rap sevgimi zaten beni tanıyanlar bilecektir. Wiz Khalifa da bu müzik türü içerisinde başarısını kanıtlamış isimlerden. Çoğu şarkısını da seviyorum zaten. O yüzden koşa koşa Küçükçiftlik Park'a gittim :)

Two days ago I was at a legendary concert. Anyone who knows me would also know about my love for hip-hop/rap music and culture. Wiz Khalifa is one of those names to become acknowledged in the industry. I love most of his songs. That's why I attended this concert at Küçükçiftlik Park without a second thought :) 

Konser önce Ezhel ve Ceza'ya da yetişebildim. Ezhel'in serbest bırakıldıktan sonraki ilk sahnesiydi. Seyirciler bu yüzden de daha heyecanlı görünüyordu. Şarkılarını daha da coşkulu söylüyordu Ezhel. Daha sonra Ceza sahne aldı. Türkiye'de rap müzikten bahsedince akla ilk gelen isimlerden olduğu konusunda hemfikiriz bence. Yıllardır bu sektörde yer alan Ceza, müthiş bir enerjiyle hem eski parçalarından söyledi hem de yenilerden. Bu şekilde saati 22:00'a getirdik ancak tabii ki Wiz Khalifa tam saatinde çıkmadı :)

I had the chance to listen to Ezhel and Ceza as well because I was afraid that I would miss their performance. This was the first live event Ezhel would attend after being released. The audience also seemed as excited as he was. Ezhel sang his songs over-enthusiastically. Then it was Ceza's turn. I believe we agree on the fact that he is one of the first names to pop up in our minds when it comes to Turkish rap music. Ceza, who has been an active participant in this industry, performed both his old and latest songs. Then it was 10 p.m. but of course Wiz Khalifa did not hit the stage on time :)

30-40 dakika bekledikten sonra sahneye geldi Wiz. Sahneye çıktığı an izdiham başladı zaten. Işık gösterileri, barkovizyonda dönen görseller ve ara ara püskürttüğü alevler ile performansını hep üst seviyede tuttu. Hem bizi coşturdu, hem de bizimle coştu. Seyircisiyle etkileşimde olan ve gerçekten yaptığı işten zevk alan insanların konserleri her zaman daha güzel geçiyor, Wiz Khalifa'nın da nitekim öyleydi.

After waiting for 30-40 minutes, Wiz came to the stage. Then there was a stampede as expected. He maintained his performance at the highest level with lights, visuals on the barcovision, and occasional flames that he fired out. He both rocked the house and he also enjoyed himself. The artists who interact with the audience and really enjoy their show, always put out their best performance. Wiz Khalifa was also like that.

Sahne önüne genelde sanatçıyı gerçekten seven ve şarkılarını bilen ekip gelir. Çok nadir parası olduğu için en önden izleyeyim mantığıyla gelen de olur. Bu kalabalık ise gerçekten sevdiği için gelmişti. Alakasız kimseyi görmedim alanda. Üstünde Wiz Khalifa dövmesi olanlar, portresini büyük kartonlara çizenler, onun gibi giyinenler... Ciddi bir fan kitlesi mevcuttu kısacası. Ayrıca Khalifa ekibi kendisine "Taylor Gang" der. Sloganları da "Taylor Gang or Die" şeklinde geçer, kısaltma olarak da "TGOD" diye kullanırlar. Orada da "Taylor Gang" diye defalarca tezahürat yaptık :)

The front stage people are usually the ones who love the artists and their works. Rarely though, well-off people decide to come because they do not want to hang out in the back squeezed by the others. This audience was only made up of people who loved him. I did not see anyone irrelevant. There were people who had Wiz Khalifa tattoos, posters with his portrait, wearing the same clothes as him. In short, he had a crazy amount of fans. Besides, his fans call themselves "Taylor Gang". Their slogan is "Taylor Gang or Die" shortened as "TGOD". We shout out loud "Taylor Gang" many times :)

En sevdiğim "Black and Yellow, Roll Up, We Dem Boyz, Letterman" gibi şarkıları da seslendirdi. Bir ara hiç bitmeyecek bile sandım. Hem uzun gibi hem de kısa sürmüş gibi hissettim aslında. Kendimizi tamamen ana kaptırdık. Hem dans ettik, hem bir ağızdan şarkıları söyledik, hem de çok eğlendik. Böyle bir şeye ihtiyacımız varmış :) Dönerken çok kalabalık olduğumuz için biraz sıkıntı yaşadık ama konserin mutluluğu ağır basıyordu.

He sang some of my favourite songs such as, "Black and Yellow, Roll Up, We Dem Boyz, Letterman". For a second I thought he would never leave the stage. Actually I both felt that his performance was short but also long. We completely enjoyed the present moment. We danced, we sang, we had fun. It seems that we needed something as such :) It was a bit hard to find transportation while leaving the venue but the happiness caused by the concert outweighed everything.

Hepinize uzun zaman sonra güzel bir festivalden merhaba diyorum!

Hello from an amazing festival after a long time!

Buraya genellikle konserlerle ilgili yazı yazmaktan hoşlandığımı biliyorsunuz. Ancak uzun zamandır bu tarz bir festival olmamıştı. Dolayısıyla Küçükçiftlik Park'taki Parkfest'i çok bekledim ve dün koşa koşa H&M davetlisi olarak gittim.

You know that I like writing about concerts. However, there hasn't been festivals such as Parkfest for a long time. Therefore I've waited for Parkfest for ages which takes place in Küçükçiftlik Park and yesterday I went there as a guest of H&M with great eagerness.

Beni en çok şaşırtan girişte sıra olmamasıydı. Çok rahat girdik içeri. Sonra çim alana doğru yürüdük ve pufları kaptık. Çim alan çok güzel kurulmuştu. Hamaklar, el yapımı ürünlerin satıldığı stantlar, H&M Loves Music kısmı ve şemsiyeli sallanan koltuklar çok güzeldi. Ayrıca #HMLovesMusic etiketi yazan bir çerçeve içinde polaroid fotoğraf çeken görevliler oldukça mutlu etti herkesi.

The thing that surprised me the most was that there was no line at the entrance. We got in easily. Then we walked towards the grass area and picked up the bean bag chairs. The grass area was set up well. There were hammocks, stands that sold the handmade products, H&M Loves Music part and the rocking seats with tents and they were all great. Also the crew that took polaroid pictures whose frames bore #HMLovesMusic hashtag made everyone's day.

Stantların birinde çanta baskısı yapabiliyordunuz ve çantalarda "H&M Loves Music" yazısı basılıydı. Şapka, flamingo, papağan ve birçok desen seçip istediğiniz rengi uygulayabiliyordunuz. Çok eğlenceliydi ve bir süre sonra sıra oluştu önünde zaten.

At one of those stands, you were able to design your own tote bag which bore the writing "H&M Loves Music". You could choose sombrero, flamingo, parrot and a lot of other patterns and you could also apply any colour you like. It was really fun and later there were a lot of people waiting for it.

Kapılar saat 14:30'a doğru açılmıştı ve biz çim alanda o kadar güzel yer seçmiştik ki saat 18:30'a kadar sahne önüne ilerlemedik. Sonra Jain çıkınca sahneye doğru geçtik. Jain bizi bayağı eğlendirdi ve bir noktada o kadar çok dans ettik ki etkinlik alanındaki kameralar bizi çekmeye başladı :) Sonrasında Hey Douglas sahne aldı ve alanda dans etmeyen tek bir insan bile kalmadı. Hatta bir süre sonra yorulup oturmuş olmamıza rağmen bir şekilde ritim tutmaya devam ettik yine. Derken Riff Cohen'in sırası geldi ve müthiş enerjisiyle geceye renk kattı. Çok samimi bir kadındı ve sahnede sürekli bir oraya bir buraya hareket etti.

The doors were open almost at 2:30 pm and we chose such a beautiful spot in the grass area that we did not go towards the main stage up until 6:30 pm but when it was Jain's turn, we went there. Jain entertained us a lot and we danced so much that the cameras there began to record us :) Then Hey Douglas hit the stage and there wasn't a single person that didn't dance. Although we were extremely tired and sat down on the ground later, we kept thumping out. Just then Riff Cohen came out and spiced up the night. She was really sweet and moved on the stage a lot. 

Ancak sonra beklenmedik bir şekilde yağmur yağmaya başladı ve Azealia Banks sahnedeyken sırılsıklam olduk. Yine de yağmura aldırış etmeden izlemeye ve dans etmeye devam ettik çünkü sahnede çok enerjikti. Hepimiz özellikle "212" çıktığında son ses eşlik ettik ona. Çok tatlı bir kadın ve ben son albümü "Slay-Z"i de oldukça sevdim.

But then unexpectedly it started to rain and we were soaking wet when Azealia Banks were on the stage. However, we kept dancing regardless of the rain because she was really energetic on the stage. We sang along with her, especially during the "212" song. She was really cute and I liked her latest album "Slay-Z" a lot.

Geçen yıl da oldukça güzel geçen Parkfest'i artık her yıl beklediğimi söyleyebilirim. Line-up bu zamana kadar hep ilgi çekici oldu, umarım önümüzdeki yıllarda da böyle olur ve hayal kırıklığına uğramayız. Bir sonraki konsere kadar hoşçakalın :)

I can say that I'll be waiting for Parkfest each year. The line-up has been attractive up until now and I hope it will stay this way and we won't get disappointed. See you until the next concert :)
