Iyeoka Konseri (21.06.2019) @ DasDas

Hello :)

Başka bir konserle daha karşınızdayım! Konser sezonunun resmi bir şekilde başlamış olması beni çok mutlu ediyor çünkü konserlere gitmeyi özlemiştim. Bir kere konsere gelenlerin tekrar Türkiye'ye gelmesi de ayrı bir mutluluk sebebi. Iyeoka iki yıl önce de Küçükçiftlik Park'taki Greenify Fest kapsamında Türkiye'ye gelmişti. O zaman da kendisiyle tanışma şansım olmuştu, yine aynı şey oldu. Tek değişen şey artık hamile değil ve çok tatlı iki tane ikiz kızı var :)

It's time for another concert! I'm so happy to see that the concert season has officially begun. I missed attending concerts. It is also nice to see that artists keep coming back to Turkey. Iyeoka has come to Turkey two years ago in Greenify Fest at Küçükçiftlik Park and I had the chance to meet her back then, as well as I did in this event. The only thing that changed is that she is no longer pregnant and has two beautiful twin daughters :)

DasDas'ta daha önce tiyatroya gitmiştim. O zaman Metrogarden'daydı yeri. Şimdi ise Metropol'e taşınmış. Yeri değiştiği için biraz önyargılıydım ancak sahne gayet geniş ve güzel. Sıra da beklemedik. Çok rahat bir şekilde mekana girdik. Yine de genel olarak Ataşehir'e ulaşımla ilgili sıkıntı var tabii ki. Artık metro yapsalar da rahatlasak. Mekana geldiğimde sadece Midpoint'in açık olduğunu gördüm. DasDas'ta oturmak istemiyorsanız tek çare Midpoint oluyor.

I've been to DasDas only to watch a play once. It was in Metrogarden back then. Now it moved to Metropol. I kind of had a prejudice against new place but the new stage is quite big and nice. We did not wait in the queue either. We entered the venue easily. However, generally speaking, it would be better to have an underground to Ataşehir. I also saw that only Midpoint is open to customers. If you do not want to hang out at DasDas, your only option is Midpoint nearby.

Mekana girince ilk fark ettiğim şey maalesef ses sistemi oldu. Enstrümanların sesi çok yüksekti ve biraz boğuk geliyordu ses. Sahnenin dibinde olmama rağmen telefonumdaki çekimler sanki mikrofonu kapamışım gibi boğuk geliyor. Ortam ve sahne güzeldi ancak ses sistemine müdahale etmeleri şart.

The first thing I realized when I entered the venue was the sound system. Instruments were louder than Iyeoka and her voice was not that much audible. The atmosphere and the stage were great but they need to fix this sound issue.

Konser sonrasında Iyeoka ve gitaristi John Beaudette ile vakit geçirme şansım oldu. Türkiye'yi sevdiklerini, tekrar geleceklerini söylediler. Bizden önce Çanakkale'delerdi, bizden sonra da Antalya'ya geçeceklerdi. Türkiye'de daha önce gezmedikleri illeri gezdikleri için çok mutlulardı. Eminim yine gelecekler :) En sevdiğim şarkıları "Breakdown Mode, Simply Falling, Black Coffee".

I had a chance to hang out with Iyeoka and her guitarist John Beaudette. They told that they loved Turkey and they'll come back. They were in Çanakkale before us and they'd go to Antalya after us. They were quite happy to see the places they did not see before in Turkey. I'm sure they'll come back again :) My favourite songs of her are "Breakdown Mode, Simply Falling, Black Coffee".

Hi all :)

Dans etmeye hazır bir şekilde, hafta içini umursamayarak eğlenmeye gittim ve asla pişman değilim :) Franz Ferdinand'ın çok aşırı bir hayranı olmasam da gidince çok keyif alacağımı biliyordum, öyle de oldu. Bu İskoç ekip gerçekten sahneyi doldurmayı biliyor.

I went to this concert ready to dance and have fun disregarding the fact that it was taking place on a weekday, and I do not regret it :) Even though I was not a die-hard fan of them, I knew I'd enjoy it and I absolutely did. This Scottish band does know how to put on a show.

Alex Kapranos çok tatlı bir solist ve şarkı aralarında hep seyirciyle iletişim kurdu. Özellikle politik konulara değinmesi ve bu konuda müziğin birleştirici gücünü vurgulaması çok hoşuma gitti. Her zaman diyorum, kesinlikle müziğin iyileştiremeyeceği bir şey yok.

Alex Kapranos is so cute and he is a successful singer. He never lost eye contact with the audience and he spoke to us many times. He especially touched upon the political issues and stressed out the unifying feature of music. I always say it, there is nothing music can't heal.

Sıra çok fazla yoktu, kitle olarak sanırım daha sakin bir kitleydik. İçerisi de gayet rahattı. Ses sistemi zaten çok güzeldi. Franz Ferdinand'ın sahne kullanımı da oldukça başarılıydı. Bir dakika yerinde durmadı Alex. Ayrıca perde çok renkli ve ilgi çekiciydi. Işık kullanımı da tatmin etti.

The queue was not long and I guess, as an audience, we were much calm. The atmosphere was also great. We also enjoyed the sound system. Franz Ferdinand knew how to use the stage, they were really having fun up there. Alex never managed to stay put. The background was colourful and attractive. The use of the lights was also satisfying.

Ekiple ayrıca tanışma fırsatım da oldu. Bildiğiniz gibi yıllar yıllar önce gelmişlerdi, arayı çok açtılar. Neyse ki bir daha bunu yapmayacaklarına dair de sözü kaptım :) "Take Me Out, Love Illumination, Do You Want To" şarkılarını çok seviyorum! Size de aşağıya bir klip bırakıyorum.

I also had the chance to meet the band. As you know, they came here many years ago. I made them promise that they won't do this next time :) I love "Take Me Out, Love Illumination, Do You Want To" so much! I'll also leave a video below.
