Imany konserinin üstünden biraz vakit geçti farkındayım ancak gelişigüzel hazırlanmış bir yazı olsun istemedim o yüzden şu an Volkswagen Arena’daki konserinden detaylıca bahsedeceğim.

I know that it’s been awhile since Imany concert took place but I didn’t want my post to be haphazardly written, so now I’ll be talking about her concert at Volkswagen Arena in details.

Imany, gerçek adı Nadia Mladjao, İstanbul’a 2016’da yine gelmişti ve oradaydım ben de. Hem dışı hem içi inanılmaz güzel bir kadın. İnandığı şeylerin arkasında duruyor ve herkese de aynı şeyi yapmasını söylüyor. Şarkı aralarında defalarca bizimle konuştu ve her seferinde ilham verici şeyler söyledi.

Imany, real name being Nadia Mladjao, came to Istanbul in 2016 and I was there as well. She is an amazing woman inside and out. She stands up for what she believes in and she tells everyone to do the same. She talked to us many times between songs and every time she said something inspirational. 

Müziğiyle çok geniş kitlelere hitap edebileceğini biliyor ve şarkı söylemesinin sebebi güzel sesi olması ya da güzel şarkıları olması değil, anlatacak ve ilham verecek bir hikayesinin olması, insanlara farklı olmanın sorun olmadığını söyleyebilmesi ve onları hayallerinin peşinden gitmesi için cesaretlendirmesi. Buraya kadar Imany’nin en sevdiğim şarkıcılardan biri olduğunu anlamış olmanız lazım.

She knows that through her music, she can reach to a wider audience and the reason why she sings is not because she has a good voice or great songs. It is because she has a story to tell to inspire many people, to tell them that it is okay to be different and to encourage them to go after their dreams. That being said, you can already tell that she is one of my favourite singers. 

O gece Volkswagen Arena’da Imany’nin diyeceklerini dinlemek için gelen pek çok insan vardı. Bizi hiç bekletmeden sahneye çıktı ve performansı her zamanki gibi harikaydı. Dans etmeyi asla bırakmadı ve meşhur saç bandını bile çıkarıp attı kendini ana kaptırınca :)

There were many people in Volkswagen Arena that night to hear what she had to tell. She came to the stage without making us wait any longer and her performance was amazing as always. She never stopped dancing and she even took off her famous headband when she got caught up in the moment :) 

Hem başında hem de sonunda İstanbul’u ne kadar sevdiğini vurguladı ve turu başladığından beri İstanbul’a gelmeye çalıştığını ancak sonunda anca başarabildiğini söyledi. Bu konuyla alakalı hiçbir şikayetim yok çünkü pek çok sanatçı ya iptal ediyorlar ya da içlerinde buraya gelmek için en ufak bir istek bile yok.

Both at the beginning and in the end, she emphasized how much she loved Istanbul and told that she tried to come here many times since the start of her tour but she could only manage to do so near the end of her tour. I do not have any complaints about it since many artists either cancel their plans to come around here or they do not even have the slightest urge to add our country into their tour list.

Keşke bu şekilde daha çok sanatçı ülkemize gelse ve konserlerin bizim için ne kadar cesaret verici ve ilham verici olduğunu görseler.

I wish more artists like her could come to Turkey so that everyone would see how encouraging and inspiring such concerts are for us.

Oscar And The Wolf Konseri (02.03.2018) @ Volkswagen Arena

Sonunda oldu. Türkiye'ye pek çok kez geldiler ancak onları Babylon Soundgarden'da seyredebilmiştim ve takdir edersiniz ki festivaller tek konserlerden daha farklı oluyor.

So it finally happened. They came to Turkey many times but I only managed to see them at Babylon Soundgarden and of course festivals are different than the solo concerts.

O sabah çok heyecanlıydım ve arenaya ne zaman gitmem gerektiğine karar verememiştim çünkü konser öncesi uzun kuyruklar oluşuyor. Akşam üstü 5 gibi gitmenin uygun olacağını düşündüm ve Volkswagen Arena'nın güzel daveti ile biletimi de almam gerekiyordu sıraya girmeden önce. Sıra akşam saat 6 gibi başladı ve herkes çok heyecanlıydı. Bir sürü insan sırada bekliyordu ve kapılar saat 8'de açılacaktı.

I was quite excited that morning and I couldn't decide when to get to the arena because usually long queues occur before the show begins. I thought it would be okay to go there at about 5 p.m. and I also had to get my free ticket by courtesy of Volkswagen Arena before I got in the queue. The queue began around 6 p.m. and people were definitely excited. There were many people waiting and the doors were opened at 8 p.m. 

Yine ön sıradaydım tabii ki. Benden başka bir şey bekler miydiniz? :) Akşam 10'a kadar onları bekledik ve Max Colombie sahneye çıktığında rüyadayım gibi hissettim.

I was again at the front row. I mean, what else would you expect from me? :) Until 10 p.m. we waited for them and when Max Colombie hit the stage, it felt like a dream.

Karış karış görebiliyordum onu ver her karışı mükemmeldi. Çok eğlendirdi, sesi rahatlatıyordu ve dansları harikaydı.

I could see him inch by inch and every inch of him was perfect. He was so entertaining, his voice was so soothing and his moves were on fire!

Arkada gösterdikleri görseller de inanılmazdı. Konserdeki deneyimimizi kesinlikle artırdılar.

The visuals they put in the back were incredible. They literally enhanced our experience at the show.

Konserin biletleri tükenmişti ve Volkswagen Arena bunun için en uygun seçim gibi duruyordu. Tribündekiler bile ayağa kalkıp dans ettiler. İşte bize bunu yapıyorsun sevgili Max!

The show was sold out and Volkswagen Arena seemed like a perfect pick. Even the people at the seats got up and danced the whole night. That's what you do to us dear Max!

If you don't know them, you definitely should stop what you're doing now and listen to their songs. They consist of five people; Max Colombie, Claudio Arduini, Ozan Bozdag, Kris Verhelst and Filip Brans. I can proudly say that Ozan Bozdag is from Turkey and he is a music genius.
